Everyone wishes to present his or her most pleasing appearance. Children in our country usually have the benefit of having their teeth straightened.

As adults, many can reduce the yellow in their teeth by simple and inexpensive bleaching techniques. I am concerned about the heating up of the internal of teeth with one-visit laser techniques.

Black fillings on back teeth can be replaced with tooth colored composite those bonds to the surface of teeth. We are hoping for less fractured teeth than with the silver mercury fillings of the past.

Teeth that are fractured have poor spacing, or minor discolorations can have an easy solution in the application of bonding composite material to the tooth surface. This can usually be accomplished without removal of tooth structure and is then reversible and renewable.

Porcelain veneers or crowns can correct more severe esthetic problems. Porcelain radiates vitality and looks beautiful. Porcelain does not stain and can last for many years.

Cosmetic dentistry can be overdone resulting in enlarged, overly white teeth that are not satisfactory. Great care and judgment is needed for a healthy pleasing result.
